On a clear day, one can see nine of the worlds fourteeen 8000m+ mountains, from Dhaulagiri in thre west to Kanchanmdzonga in the East. The trek paases through charming villages, ancient monasteries, lush rhododendron forests, and serene valleys before reaching the mystical Dudh Kunda Lake (4,600m) revered as a holy lake. You also visit Thupten Choling Monastery, which is home to hundreds of Tibetan nuns who escaped from Tibet. Pike Peak and Dudh Kunda trek is perfect for those seeking both natural beauty and cultural immersion without the crowds of Everest Base Camp.

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu/ Transfer to hotel

Boudhanath Stupa: It is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Commonly called Basantapur Darbar is one of three Durbar (royal palace) Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.’
After sightseeing trek briefing and issue you your ‘trek pack’ consisting of a duffle bag, down jacket/or fleece sweater, sleeping bag, inner liner for your sleeping bag and rain poncho. Your afternoon is free for you to do your packing and purchasing your last minute items for your trek.

Day 6: Hike to Pikey Peak (4,065m) & Trek to Jhasa Bhanjyang (3520m)

Descent through alpine meadows and forests to Jhasa Bhanjyang
Day 7: Trek to Junbesi (2,700m)
Long decent through rohododendron and pine forest
Explore the peaceful Sherpa village of Junbesi
Day 8: Rest- Visit Thupten Choling Monastery (2920m)
Thupten Choling Monastery-Built as a refuge for monks and nuns escaping Tibet, it continues to serve as a sanctuary for Buddhist practitioners.
Home to over 500 monks and nuns, making it one of the largest monastic communities in Nepal.
Day 9: Trek to Takshindu (3130m)
Follow lush forest trails with glimpses of local wildlife and waterfalls
Stay in Takshindu, Taksindu La Pass (around 3,070 meters) offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Thamserku, and Kusum Kanguru on clear days.
Day 10: Trek to Saharsabeni (4000m)
Begin the route through rhododendron and pine forest remote highlands
The trail becomes more steep and rugged and isolated, surrounded by alpine scenery
Views of Mt. Numbur (6958m) and Mt Karyalung (6511m)
Day 11: Trek to Dudh Kunda (4,600m) & Return to Kamu Danda
Early morning trek to the sacred lake Dudh Kunda, nestled below Numbur Himal
Experience spiritual energy, high mountain ambiance, and glacier-fed waters
After spending time at the lake, return to Kamu Danda
Day 12: Trek to Ringmo & drive to Phaplu
Retrace your steps back through alpine pastures and forests
Drive to Phaplu
Day 13: Drive Back to Kathmandu
Drive (~8–9 hrs) back to the capital
