Imagine standing on the summit, gazing out across snow-covered peaks and turquoise glacial lakes—knowing you’re higher than the tallest mountains in both Europe and Africa. Just a stone’s throw away rises Mount Everest and Nuptse, while Ama Dablam and Makalu stretch across the horizon in breathtaking beauty. Below you lies the steep and exposed ridge you just climbed—now part of your story. And yes, the sense of accomplishment is absolutely real.

Note: Most expedition companies only climb to the “false summit.” But with us, if you have the strength, spirit, and conditions allow—we always aim for the true summit.

Joining Hi On Life’s Lobuche Peak Expedition requires both physical endurance and mental resilience. Previous climbing experience is a plus, but not essential.

From the summit of Mera Peak—Nepal’s highest trekking peak—you’ll be rewarded with one of the most breathtaking views imaginable. From the top, you can see five of the six highest mountains in the world: Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, and Cho Oyu.

Despite the physical challenge of climbing above 6,000 meters, Mera Peak is not considered technically difficult. There are no steep or exposed sections, and the slope rarely exceeds 30 degrees. Combined with the stunning scenery and a rewarding trek to base camp, it’s easy to see why Mera Peak is such a popular goal.

The trail winds through enchanting rhododendron forests, passing remote villages and giving us time to gradually acclimatize to the altitude—until we finally reach Mera’s 6,476-meter summit.

To join Hi On Life’s Mera Peak Expedition, you’ll need to be physically and mentally prepared. Prior mountaineering experience is helpful but not required.

The Himalayas are home to extraordinary wildlife, yet many species face the threat of extinction. One of the most iconic and endangered is the elusive snow leopard. Hi On Life proudly supports the Snow Leopard Conservancy, an organization dedicated to protecting this majestic species. As symbolic “adoptive parents” of a female snow leopard and her cub, we now invite you to join a unique expedition to witness these rare animals in their natural habitat—while actively supporting the conservation efforts that protect them.

Snow Leopards in Ladakh

In Ladakh, northern India, conservation efforts have successfully increased the snow leopard population through education and collaboration with local communities. Expeditions like this one help create income through ecotourism, encouraging locals to see snow leopards as valuable assets rather than threats to livestock. A compensation fund has also been established to support herders affected by leopard predation.

It's estimated that 100 to 300 snow leopards live in Ladakh today. We’ve chosen Hemis National Park—a protected area where sightings are highly probable, with success rates close to 90%. This remote and rugged region, with fewer than two inhabitants per square kilometer, offers snow leopards the quiet, untouched wilderness they need to thrive.

Hi On Life’s Photo Expedition – Snow Leopards of Ladakh
Our expedition is based in a tented wilderness camp in Hemis National Park. From this basecamp, we’ll set out on daily treks, guided by expert local trackers who monitor the movements of the snow leopards.

This journey is physically and mentally demanding. You’ll need to endure cold temperatures, hike for hours (often with photo gear), adapt to changes in the plan, and embrace long periods of stillness and patience in nature.

But while nature is raw, our camp is designed for comfort. You’ll stay in sturdy “cottage tents” with camp beds, and enjoy a large dining tent, a well-equipped kitchen tent, and a private toilet tent.

Ladakh’s dramatic landscape—with desert-like valleys, emerald lakes, and colorfully decorated monasteries—adds to the magic. The people here are warm, generous, and deeply connected to their land and traditions.

Bring a sturdy tripod, a long lens, warm clothing, and a healthy dose of patience. Whether you're a passionate wildlife photographer or simply someone who dreams of seeing a snow leopard in the wild, this expedition offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
