I joined an unforgettable expedition to Tanzania, with both safari and a Kilimanjaro climb. The Search Adventures’ leaders had excellent planning and great local guides. I’ve joined two expeditions to Nepal with The Search. On one, we helped rebuild schools and were warmly welcomed by the villagers. Our passion for Nepal, Africa, the Nordic mountains, canoeing and ski touring and off-piste skiing regularly takes us back to the Kebnekaise massif, hiking trails in Nepal, Ben Nevis in Scotland or up the beautiful slopes of Kilimanjaro. We also love visiting the Dzongs of Bhutan, the Batwa pygmies or the mist-shrouded and legendary mountain gorillas in the jungles of Rwanda and Uganda.
In winter and spring we ski and do fantastic ski-touring excursions and summit tours with hiking boots.
The customers who let us guide them are adventurers who over the years often return to us for more experiences and more adventure. That is the best rating we think.

Hike Through the Heart of History in Japan!
Join us on our exklusive Shogun Expedition in 2026 as we travel on the famous Nakasendo Trail – a magical route between Kyoto and Tokyo, where you’ll hike through forests, past towering cedar trees, and into villages like Tsumago and Magome – preserved just as they were in the 1600s.
