Fredrik Hermelin
Founder of The Search Adventures and a dedicated adventurer. Passionate about trekking, skiing, ice climbing, and summiting peaks. Fredrik also guides safari, trekking and climbing expeditions to Africa, Himalayas, Scotland.
The adventure Fredrik is most passionate about is the Heart of Africa Expedition through Rwanda and Uganda. This is the “mother of all african road trips” But, lately Scotland has become a true passion, due to the amazing landscape, people and diversity in nature.

Hans Nilsson
Expedition Leader and a beloved guide known for his energy and passion. Whether tracking gorillas, skiing remote slopes, or leading hikes, Hasse brings adventure and fun to every journey. Hasse recently travelled to Bhutan - The Land of The Thunder Dragon and he knows where to get the best Gin & Tonic on the West coast of Scotland.
A must on every long road trip. An excellent chef and a best friend.

Linnéa Svensson
Mountain and trekking guide with a warm, social spirit. A regular on Kebnekaise expeditions, and Scotland Highland tours. Linnéa brings joy and encouragement to every trail she walks alongside fellow adventurers.
Never a dull moment or a missed opportunity when Linnéa is leading a trip with The Search Adventures. We hope to see her on the slopes of Kilimanjaro in 2026.

Ram Silwal
One of our best friends and recent partner of The Search Adventure is Ram Silwal. He is raised in Nepal among rivers and mountains, he brings deep local knowledge and years of experience as a guide, expedition leader, and outdoor instructor.
All our river expeditions in Nepal are under Rams leadership. Ram is a passionate leader and has an International Education Center by the shore of the mighty Trisuli River. Here several young guides take their first certificates as mountain leaders and rafting instructors. During summers Ram has a cool summer beach camp at “Ribban” beach in Malmö Sweden.

Saran Subba
Expedition leader and owner of HiOnLife Adventures, who are in close collaboration with The Search Adventures. Saran is leading expeditions in the Himalayas and Swedish Great Outdoors and spends most of the time high up in the mountains.
Together with The Search Adventures, Saran is responsible for the Kang Yatze I & II, Bhutan and Best of Nepal programs. Soon we are also making sure he will guide our guests on Kilimanjaro in 2026.
Sarans favorite trek in the Himalayas is the a trek between Rumtse to Tsomiriri Lake in Ladakh. A high altitude and tough trek, but worth every moment. -

Hike Through the Heart of History in Japan!
Join us on our exklusive Shogun Expedition in 2026 as we travel on the famous Nakasendo Trail – a magical route between Kyoto and Tokyo, where you’ll hike through forests, past towering cedar trees, and into villages like Tsumago and Magome – preserved just as they were in the 1600s.
